Museum of the battle of Ceresole d’Alba Museum – muBATT
The Battle Museum, created by upgrading the rooms of the old market wing of the Ceresole d’Alba Municipality, will allow visitors to discover the events and curiosities of one of the most important battles fought by foreign armies on Italian soil: the Battle of Ceresole d’Alba.
The protagonists of the clash, which took place on 14 April 1544, were the French army of Francis I and the Imperial army led by Charles V, who challenged each other for hegemony on Italian territory. The clash, which involved about 30,000 soldiers, ended with the victory of the French army.
The visit itinerary will aim to describe the battle and highlight the strong connection between the territory of Ceresole d’Alba and its extraordinary history, full of events. Among the rooms of the exhibition space, visitors will be able to undertake a journey of discovery of the battle, admiring the testimonies and historical memorabilia preciously preserved over the centuries.
Visits can be booked at the times indicated on the website.
The Museum of the battle of Ceresole d’Alba (muBATT) was born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Ceresole d’Alba, the Town Council and the Tourist Office of Saint-Paul-de-Vence within the European project “SuCCeS”, financed by the INTERREG V ALCOTRA France – Italy 2014 – 2020 programme.
